Summary
👤
SeniorZack Kourouma is a Senior Developer and Staff Engineer with 11–12 years of full-stack experience, now focused on developer growth at 1Password after leading backend and distributed systems work at Second Spectrum. He specializes in Rust and real-time data pipelines, having rebuilt ingestion and query systems to cut latency, boost throughput, and save over $50K annually by eliminating heavyweight dependencies. Comfortable across DevOps, backend, and frontend stacks, Zack pairs pragmatic engineering (CI/CD, observability, cloud) with mentorship, having coached junior engineers and accelerated release velocity through tooling and macros. He brings a user-centric mindset—balancing technical rigor with the people affected by his systems—and off-hours he’s as likely to be debugging a mushroom-grow setup as reading on the beach.
