Top SchoolZeng Liew is a Senior Data Scientist at Microsoft with six years of experience building and scaling semantic search and vector indexing for enterprise M365, including training and deploying rankers that improved file search NDCG by up to 5% and rolling out vector indices to customers worldwide. He blends rigorous academic training in statistics and computational math (MS/BS, UC Davis) with production engineering, owning end-to-end systems from chunking heuristics and index updates to monitoring and deployment. Before industry work he authored a Julia wavelet signal-processing package—now an official Julia package—showing a sustained commitment to open research software. Based in Bellevue, WA, he has a track record of turning advanced algorithms into reliable, large-scale search features that serve global enterprise customers.
