Senior🎓
Top SchoolZisis Maras is a freelance software engineer based in Athens with 12 years of experience building and scaling web products, data pipelines, and infrastructure. He’s comfortable across the stack and has led technical teams and infrastructure projects at startups like Viral Loops and GuestFlip, contributing to analytics platforms, CDNs, and core processing queues. Passionate about experimenting with distributed systems, databases and programming languages, he ships most of his work as open-source on GitHub. Beyond software, Zisis applies the same hands-on curiosity to hardware: he’s been designing electronics, low-level firmware and a custom delta-style 3D printer he plans to open-source. That blend of system-level thinking and maker-level engineering lets him bridge software, firmware and physical product development. Clients value him for pragmatic problem-solving and a builder’s drive to turn ideas into working, scalable systems.
